The structure is in fact an intersection of two tubes showing two different axis: water-road and pond-forest. The idea was to propose a perfectly isolated summer retreat for busy Warsaw white collars in a remote location in Eastern Poland.
Regulations imposed 100 metres distance from water line, while dense human-planted forest offered a shadowy surface of soil bumps covered by mixed species of trees.
Principal axis - the one relating the road with the lake is built from the very entry to the plot, through gravel road, a carport, the slightly elevated day zone of the house, than an almost 100 metres long deck and a barbecue "barn" overlooking the water. The second axis is composed out of two bedrooms and a spa-zone with two saunas and a spacious bathroom.
Due to dense vegetation the roof was punctuated with series of skylights and the number of windows on lateral elevations was limited to minimum in contrast with big glazings on the ends of both tubes. The timber structure, also when it comes to the roofs, will be covered with ceddar wood. All ends of tubes will be equipped with sliding panels filled with a combination of wicker and steel rope inspired by wicker fences from Podlasie region.
