Parnuvilla
EUROPAN 7 "Sub-urban challenge, urban intensity and housing diversity."
The building ground is on the seaside in the suburbs of South Estonian resort of Parnu, population of which multiplies elevenfold in.
Four-storey stadt-villas with double two-storey levels of apartaments organised around the common space of social character. The house's structure allows the residents to inflate living space in wintertime and squeeze it in the summer to accommodate tourists. In winter the ratio btw. the resident's apartments and the guest ones would 1:1 whereas in the summertime 1:3.
The complex of houses is composed in a sries of "belts" in the right angle to the seaside thus allowing for the view of the sea from social space while isolating the complex from the noisy beach with greenery and apart-hotels?
