Our aim is to orientate the city towards Vistula river. Rehabilitation of old Praga district will soon make it as attractive as Warsaw's Old Town, lying on the other side of the river. We want to join old fragments of the city through the river, using park as the link.
Recreation of the oval plan of the square should not be done with use of tridimentional elements, such as buildings. We don't want to paste urban character onto the park: our intention is to make the park flow into the city grid.
The House of Culture, called "The Deck" standing beside the square would become a gate to the park, aswell as to the nearby ZOO and in the future, it would become a beginning of the deck leading towards the riverside- with a ferry station, a viewing platform and an open-air theatre.
Zwracamy miasto ku rzece. Rewitalizowana Stara Praga stanie się niedługo równie atrakcyjna jak Starówka. Stare fragmenty miasta pragniemy połączyć poprzez rzekę. Tak jak po drugiej stronie Wisły, park będzie łącznikiem pomiędzy rzeką a zabytkowym miastem. Nie chcemy odgradzać się od parku zabudową, realizując urbanistyczną oprawę gwiaździstego placu. Nie przenosimy cech miejskich na park lecz, przenosimy park na stronę miejską. Dom Kultury "Pomost" stojący
przy placu będzie również bramą kierującą nas nad rzekę, początkiem pokładu spacerowego prowadzącego do nadwiślańskiej platformy widokowej i przystani promowej.
