The area in question is dense with a variety of forms diversified functionally where downtown urban tissue abruptly breaks at the edge of Skarpa Wislana - a steep slope marking Vistulas old riverbed. Our aim is to create the space where contradictory elements of nature and the city diffuse. The greenery is treated on equal basis with buildings - shaped and protected by similar means.
Fillings in the quarter itself honour historical plots usually reflecting outlines of buildings. In the central part of the quarter we recreate "A Secret Garden". Furthermore, pierzeja of Aleje is consequently continued in harmony with the existing large scale buildings.plus there is "Skarpa Laboratory" situated in the restored ravine of the Smolna street - the structure links areas of Foksal quarter with those down the slope.
